Transforming Neglected Spaces into Colourful Landmarks
These striking murals have been created in 2022 to 2026 by local artists Moss and Concrete as part of a community project to transform neglected spaces into colourful landmarks. Funded through the Estate Development Budget (EDB) and coordinated by Brighton & Hove City Council’s Community Engagement Officer, the artwork celebrates local creativity and community pride.
There are many public street art across Hollingdean Estate that have helped brighten the estate, discourage graffiti, and create a stronger sense of place. Together with local volunteers and community groups, including Growing Hollingdean, Hollingdean Community Centre and Hollingdean Tenants & Residents Association. These projects are helping to make Hollingdean a greener, more welcoming neighbourhood for everyone.
