The Old Green Community Garden

The Old Green Community Garden, October 2005

On 73 Stanmer Street, Hollingdean, Brighton

The Old Green community have planted six fruit trees in partnership with Brighton Permaculture Trust and have added compost bins supported by Brighton & Hove Food Partnership. During lockdown they asked for help to get the rest of the garden design moving and Polly a Growing Hollingdean volunteer offered to do a design as part of her first Permaculture Diploma Design. This helped to shift it from being used as a car park / dog toilet into a thriving and much used community space.

Gardening days are 10:30am-12:30pm, usually the first Saturday of the month

Please check see Facebook page here for other events. If you would like to get involved with the Old Green Community Garden email theoldgreencommunitygarden@gmail.com
